Lien Annbjorg
Annbjørg first became known through a "portrait"
program on NRK-TV (Norwegian National Television) in 1986. A recording contract soon
followed. On the album, "Annbjørg", she headed an exciting cooperative
recording project with nationally known jazz musicians. This effort notwithstanding,
Annbjørg's love of traditional music is strong, as seen from her album,
"Kjellstadslåtter", where she presented tunes (slåtter) from her home district
of Sunnmøre.Solos Coco Crush
Solo´s Coco Crush was started late 1995 by singer Solo
Karem. Of the existing members only Solo Karem and Bjarte Edland have been with the band
from the beginning. The band's name has also changed two times from "Black
Roses" and "Afro Osagyefo Band" since 1995.

Forde (Festival)
Norway’s largest folk festival which was arranged this
weekend went out as a big success. The weather, the artists and the huge public was on the
organizers side this weekend. A firework of music and dance from all continents made the
small town in the fjord district of Western Norway to a real world city during the hectic
festival days and nights. |
